Story

I am running for Bowel Cancer UK, a charity close to my heart, having in 2018 lost a close friend, Karl, to Bowel Cancer aged just 30. He fought with dignity and courage and I am honoured to be fundraising in memory of him and his inspirational battle.

Bowel Cancer is the 2biggest cancer killer and the 4most common cancer in the UK. Over 42,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with Bowel Cancer every year; that’s a new diagnosis every 15 minutes. It is more important than ever that Bowel Cancer UK raise as much money as possible to continue their amazing work supporting people affected by bowel cancer, campaigning for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care, funding research as well as educating health professionals.

Every penny you donate will go to helping fund the amazing work Bowel Cancer UK does every day, supporting people like Karl, their families and the professionals involved in

Another windy weekend to contend with so mixed training up a bit with a shorter run in the rainy woods this morning followed by a longer indoor cycle in the dry. Still a good weekend of training and absolutely thrilled to see my fundraising total edging towards 50% of my overall target. I am extremely grateful to everyone who is showing their support by donating, it really gives me motivation and so proud to be fundraising for such a wonderful cause πŸ’šπŸš΄πŸ»β€β™€οΈβ˜”οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Well storm Ciara certainly packs a punch but another successful training weekend is complete πŸ‘ŒπŸ» Had a great time on Friday at a training day organised by Bowel Cancer UK for some of the team running on 26th April... what a treat to run around some of London’s finest sights. This was followed by 15 miles over the weekend in storm force winds πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’¨πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’¨πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’¨πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ I couldn’t be doing this without the support of everyone who is behind me, thank you so much to everyone who is donating... Today saw a new milestone in training... this morning I ran 10 miles in 1hr 31mins. 3 jelly babies every 15 mins did the trick! Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me so far... whenever it starts to feel like hard work I think about why I am doing this and that’s all the motivation I need. Bring on the next 10 miles πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ
